COME, I’LL SHOW YOU THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN
THE GAMBIA
The Gambia (officially the Republic of The Gambia) is located in West Africa and is the smallest country on the continent. It stretches along the Gambia River of the same name and is almost completely surrounded by the state of Senegal. The capital is Banjul. More than half of the people live in the metropolitan area of the larger cities. The official language is English, but more than 20 other languages are spoken.
>/br>
The economic situation in The Gambia is very unstable and a large part of the population suffers from poverty and unemployment.
>/br>
After the end of the dictatorship in 2017, reforms were introduced for more media plurality and some private radio and television stations were established. The Gambia is ranked 87th out of 180 countries in the 2020 press freedom rankings published by Reporters Without Borders.
