Year after year, thousands of young people take part in the volunteer programme weltwärts, where they learn what development work means in practice. In their work, they meet people with ideas and initiatives that offer sustainable solutions for global problems.

At IDEEN.TRANSFAIR, young filmmakers from India, Kenya, Colombia, and Togo introduce a selection of ideas in four short films that they produced in dialogue with weltwärts volunteers.

Whether it’s solar energy, anti-bullying workshops, local handicraft or reforestation — any idea might be picked up and applied anywhere in the world.

Finally, the films allow these ideas to travel around the globe, where they reach new audiences in many different countries and have the chance to be developed further.
